Halloween
Our halloween night was a good one! Tif started the evening by carving pumpkins in record time. By the time she was nearly finished, Beckman began pulling on her to go for a walk (it was surprisingly warm!). With the choice of a Tiger or a Giraffe, Beckman chose to be the Giraffe. What an adorable one he was! After answering the door for a couple of trick-or-treaters, we headed out down Gavin Circle to show Beckman's little costume off. It was nice to see everyone. Dan, we hope you feel better! At the end, we met up at our next-door neighbors house where Vic and Julie were, as always, some of the sweetest hosts ever. Julie made some delicious chili and hot toddys. It was perfect timing, as it had just started to sprinkle!
Help - WILD GIRAFFE!!
Re-new the Zoo! The Salt Lake County Council has placed a $33 million bond on the ballot for this election. The bond will help the Zoo build an African Savanna that could make a home for giraffes, rhinos, and zebras among other things. So re-new the zoo! Go Vote!
See you next year!
The family pumpkins - complete with Beckman's binky. He actually tried to take it!
The 2 zookeepers wrangling the Giraffe cruising around Gavin Circle!
See you next year!

Utah Fall (Big Cottonwood Canyon)
This weekend we drove up Big Cottonwood Canyon to see the Utah fall colors. Utah in the Fall is a blast of color! From golden cottonwoods along meandering streams to the supernatural glow of aspen and oak in mountains and meadows!

Notre Dame Football Kickoff & Chili Cookoff Party
Last weekend was the start of Notre Dame football season, and that means our Annual Notre Dame Kickoff & Chili Cookoff Party!!! We got the priviledge to host this years event. It is always a fun weekend with many of our friends cheering for Notre Dame and eating some fantastic chili. Thanks everyone for fun-packed day! After a poll, and many bowls of chili later the winner of this year's Chili Cookoff was Tiffany! ;-) Tif has a wonderful recipe for chili, and it was not a surprise she won this year. Thanks for everyone who participated, and we look forward to next year and Tiffany defending her title. Oh, as a bonus Notre Dame defeated San Diego State that day. Hopefully, this year will be better than the previous.Tuesday, September 2, 2008
****Viva Las Vegas****
Hello, Sweet Family and Friends! Can you believe it is already September? We hope you are doing well and had a wonderful long Labor Day weekend. Ours was very nice. Erik had to work in St. George the Tuesday following, so we decided to head down to Lake Las Vegas the Friday before. As you can see, we had a wonderful time shopping, people watching, and swimming!
